Scholar Stories

Lavasia McMillion is a second year Page Scholar at the University of Minnesota–TC. However, she has taken this year to study at Prairie View Texas A & M as a participant in the National Student Exchange program. Lavasia is a wonderful definition of a Page Scholar, going above and beyond the required 50 hours of service; providing 150 hours of tutoring to younger students of color participating in the Squash Scholars program this past year. Lavasia is a reliable student who responds promptly to every call for help; she is always one of the first Scholars to offer assistance at any of the Foundation’s events.
