In 1971, Alan Page became the first defensive player to be named the NFL Most Valuable Player. Page was an All-American at Notre Dame, had nine years as All-Pro and elected to the NFL Hall of Fame in 1988. Upon his election to the Hall of Fame, Alan Page kicked off the Page Education Foundation, citing the education of our youth as his number one priority.

Football fans might remember Alan Page as a speed-rushing defensive lineman who terrorized quarterbacks during a stellar career with Notre Dame, the Minnesota Vikings, and the Chicago Bears. Yet how many realize that player-turned-lawyer Page has been a Minnesota Supreme Court Justice since 1992?

All Rise tells the remarkable story of how Alan Page worked his way to the top of two very different professions and, in the process, touched the lives of countless people. By talking to Page as well as his family, friends, and colleagues from both football and the law, author Bill McGrane has painted a fascinating portrait of one of pro football’s most complex personalities. Alan will personally autograph each book. If you would like a special inscription, write it in the “Notes” section of the order form. Each limited edition book is numbered.
