Donations

The Page Education Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization dependent upon the generosity of corporations, foundations, and individuals for 100% of our funding. Financial support, in-kind gifts, pro bono services, and corporate grants and sponsorships are needed to support our mission of encouraging Minnesota’s student’s of color to participate in post-secondary education. Even though we keep administrative costs to a minimum (11%), our current funding does not allow us to meet all the needs of students. Each year, we turn away hundreds of students.

Your donation is needed! Consider your tax-deductible contribution to Page Education Foundation as an investment that will allow Minnesota’s youth and children of color a brighter future. Investing in our youth will have a direct impact on our economy and quality of life. Your on-going generosity and support will create a legacy that will change the future for thousands of Minnesota’s children.

Learn about the various ways to make a gift to the Page Education Foundation below.

Your financial contribution to Page Education Foundation is an investment in Minnesota’s youth of color. We work hard to ensure that your money is used wisely. That is why we keep our administrative costs to a minimum – only 11% of our total budget.

Matching Gifts

Many employers will match their employees’ charitable contributions and volunteer time. By participating in your company’s matching gift program, you can double or triple your investment in Page Education Foundation. Many companies will not only match gifts from their current employees, but also gifts from retired employees. Please check with the human resources department to see if your company matches your charitable contribution.

Event Sponsorship Opportunities

Sponsorships offer corporations and businesses an opportunity for visibility during one of Page Education Foundation’s special events or projects. Sponsors receive specific benefits based on the financial level of their involvement. Current events include, but are not limited to, our annual spring fundraising event and our two summer events, Page Scholar Recognition Ceremony and Page Scholar Orientation. Make a Planned Gift

Page Education Foundation can be named a beneficiary of an estate or as the recipient of a specified gift. Assets such as Individual Retirement Account (IRA) benefits, 401(k) benefits and life insurance benefits can be donated by naming Page Education Foundation as the designated beneficiary of your contract. Other gifts, such as charitable remainder trusts, can be made through plans that provide income to the donor (and beneficiaries, as desired) during his or her lifetime. Best of all, you’ll be leaving a legacy for future generations.

Donate to Our Endowment

Gifts to the Page Education Foundation’s endowment ensure permanent financial support and organizational stability. An endowment gift is restricted so that the original gift (the principal) may not be spent. Instead, it is invested, generating a steady stream of interest or dividend income that provides a hedge against inflation. An endowed gift is an investment in the future, ensuring the Page Education Foundation’s financial security.

For questions or more information about making a gift to our endowment, please contact Carolyn Jones at 612-332-0406 or .

Donate Stock or Other Appreciated Property

Gifts of stock, bonds, or other property that you have owned for more than one year are deductible at the full fair market value. (Fair market value is based on the average of the high and low traded price of the security on the date of the gift). Also, individuals can avoid all capital gains taxes that would be owed if the security had been sold. Unlike gifts of cash, the maximum deduction for appreciated property in any one year is limited to 30 percent of adjusted gross income.*

For questions or more information about donating stock or other appreciated property, please contact Carolyn Jones at 612-332-0406 or .

*With both cash and assets gifts, an individual can carry forward unused deductions for up to five additional years.
