2009 Page Scholar Award Ceremony

On June 19, 2009, Page Education Foundation honored the 2009-2010 Page Scholars with an Awards Ceremony at the Coffman Auditorium at the University of Minnesota.  Keynote speaker Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak congratulated students on their educational success and encouraged them to continue giving back to their communities.  Participants also enjoyed a “Japanese Drumming” performance by Mu Daiko and an inspirational speech by scholar speaker Uriel Rosales-Tlatenchi.

The Page Education Foundation has awarded 560 Page Grants to students across the state of Minnesota who are currently enrolled full-time in a post-secondary educational institution.

This award is given annually to honor a Page Education Foundation volunteer mentor for their contribution and outstanding service to the success of our Page Scholars and the goals of the program. Thanks David for your ongoing commitment and service to the Page Education Foundation.

Page Education Foundation Announces a New Program - Page Connections

Page Connections is a new program aimed at supporting Page Scholars as they work to successfully complete their education and community service. This program was outlined in part from feedback from our Page Scholars – they articulated ways the Page Education Foundation could support them while in school. Page Connections provides Page Scholars the opportunity to access support services on campus, internships/career opportunities, group service projects and ways to connect with other Page Scholars. In addition, Page Connections creates meaningful mentoring relationships by matching adult volunteers with interested Page Scholars whose college and career experience complement one another. Last year we had over 100 volunteers contributing to the success of Page Scholars education through this mentoring program.
