Abdi Mahamed is the first one in his family to go to college and is graduating in the spring of 2010. He hopes to get a job and plans to further his education in the future. For him, the Page Education Grant was a tremendous asset. Abdi says, “The Page Grant and the service project gave me an outstanding opportunity to understand how important it is to give back to communities and the impact that we can make in children’s lives. During the short time I was at the school in which I volunteered, I gained important skills like working with kids, advising them and solving their problems. I am very glad to be a Page Scholar!”
