Abigail Somuah is attending the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, majoring in Communications. Her interests include human resources and business management. While volunteering with Squash Scholars at the University of Minnesota, Abigail not only learned how to play a new sport, but she also gained valuable experience working with the middle school students. “’I passed my test and my mom was so happy!’ This is the kind of reward I get every time I volunteer. The satisfaction of knowing I’m doing something right for my community and the future generation keeps me going. It is rewarding to see how students turn to you for help, when at first they would not give you a thought. Each time a student warms up to me, I know I have done something right.”
