Shivan Hanuman has big plans for her future. After graduating from the University of Minnesota, she plans on pursing a master’s degree in occupational therapy. Being a part of the Page Education Foundation has been very meaningful to her. “This was an experience where I felt like I was positively influencing the minds of young children. When I was in elementary school, I felt that there was a lack of mentors that were there to lead me towards higher education. I had to seek resources from relatives to help me succeed in school. With the children that I work with, I feel like I am giving them the opportunity by sharing my experiences while allowing the children see that it is possible to succeed and they can start by using the abundance of resources at their school.”
